Post Google anti-virus protection. Any good?

Is anybody on here using the above and would they recommend same?
I know it is free but do you only get what you pay for?
I've had Norton in the past and now I'm using F Secure just now on a trail basis. I'm not sure how good F Secure is as computer workings are a bit of a mystery to me.
Thanks,
Mouser.
