Question Recovering files

Hello,

Is there any way of recovering deleted files from Windows XP?
Also if so is there a way of ensuring they are fully removed from the hard drive when recovered?

Many Thanks.

You can use several file recovery tools, ranging from free programs to expensive ones (such as Ontrack)

Bear in mind, the more you use your machine in the meantime lessens the chances of performing a successful recovery.

As for deleting the files, use something like PGP or "Eraser" to erase free clusters on the drive - and make sure you set them to delete cluster slack, too.
