Weird that as from the single screen shots the PS3 looks better - but the second looks like a bad screenshot has been taken

Hmmmm prefer the PS3 road shot, but interesting with the missing detail on the comparison shot.

Probably still play's ****e though like all the Ridge Racer games

 

XBOX360 screen = 720p
PS3 = 1080p

Also note, XBOX360 is Ridge Racer 6
PS3 is Ridge Racer 7

 

So why the comparison if comparing apples with pears?

 

Does it actually matter? Ridge Racers on PSP was miles better than any Ridge Racer on PS2, despite being graphically inferior. It's all about the game, man.

 

Agree Pete, what does it *play* like not look like!

 

games will end up like metal gear solid - all bloody video sequences and little game play.

 

Especially with these blu ray discs

 

There's a thread about this on AVForums. There's a lucky chap on there in Japan with a PS3 and RR7 and reckons that those pics were taken with in running in 720p mode through a composite cable. The side by side pic also looks like a PS2 screenshot - there's more impressive stuff in GT4.

He's been running 1080p through HDMI and reckons it needs to be seen to be beleived.

addendum - I hate that f*****g track on RR6!!
