Getting a sound file onto a Blackberry? How?
Hi
Odd as it sounds, I want the sound of our office Microwave "pinging" when its finished heating food as a sound to notify me of a new email arriving on my Blackberry.
As far as I can see you cannot record on a Blackberry (8700G) and I don't have another mobile other than my work Blackberry (so can't record the sound on a mobile & zap it over)
So Plan B is record the sound on my laptop & zap it onto the Blackberry, but how do I do this?
R.

I've been trying to do this for ages. The latest version of the desktop software suggests that it supports multimedia file transfer, but you need (IIRC) software version 4.2 on the blackberry- which I don't think has been released yet.
The only thing I can suggest is to put your bb on silent, and when you see a message some in, hit the button on the microwave
Sorry mate, thats probs of no use whatsoever
