Windows 2000 Server - Slipstream Question
Afternoon,
A friend of mine had a nice W2K Server which was fully patched with the latest SP and updates from Windows Updates.
Long story short, they need to totally rebuild it, and they'd like to avoid the pain of having to sit through countless install and reboots from Windows Update.
I'm pretty sure it's possible to slipstream a 2000 Install CD so that it'll have SP4 on it, but is it possibly to simply slipstream from the current server so that the CD will have all the current patches that are on the server. Or is it simpler to just slipstream 2000 + SP4, and then have a full IE6 SP1 installer (that I have manged to get) and use Autopatcher to update things to it's latest level, and then do a final run of Windows Update to get the absolute latest files.
Being lazy we'd love to just pop in a CD and install from there and when the machine comes up just run windows update to get the very latest items.
Can this be done?

If you don't have that cd and cannot be arsed to do it manually, I would suggest using a program called AutoStreamer.
Create an iso of the install cd, mount it using Daemon Tools. AutoStreamer it, unmount and burn...
