Smile Need a new printer any suggestions

As the title really. Had a HP 1200 scanner/copier etc. Dropped ot and smashed the scanner glass and the cartridges are about to run out so I thought it would be better just to replace.

I'm more into printing photo's and A4 stuff and CD's/DVD [though the 1200 doesn't do that] so looking for something with good print resoloution.

Any ideas....oh not really into spending a fortune.

Had an R220 whihc was very good but after an accident I'm just setting up a Canon ip4300 so if you can hang on a day I'll report back on my findings. It certainly is bigger and feels a bit beefier.

M8... reason I recomended that is because i had an r300 (the later two are the upgrades) ...very good resolution superb printing direct to CD's/DVD's and most of all economy on the inks full jetec set at around £20 available locally(alot of people dont look at this economy for the long run)

I know they aint got scanner combo but then I never been a fan of these combo ones as you usually get a degrade one way or another.
