Purchased my Xbox 360 about 4 weeks ago, every other day the thing needs restarting half way through a game (usually Saints Row), is this a common fault or do i have a dudd model?

Possibly a bug in the game.
If you had a dud machine you would normally get the ring at the front going red for various faults.

All 3 of my previous 360 consoles did this just before they died completely. 2-3 weeks before the dreaded 3 red lights appeared, the console would start hanging / freezing in the middle of a game. Gradually got worse until finally it wouldn't turn on at all and the lights appeared.

Good news is that if it does go wrong, MS are reasonably quick in turning them around (usually about a week).

You can take it back to Game and they will swap it over.
If you go through MS (which i have done) as Iain said only takes a week or so.
Quite funny though my mate works in Game and they've had 4 Xbox 360 returned with Saints Row stuck in the machine, coincidence?

If you take it back to game, you might not be able to keep your hard drive (you have to return the whole thing), and so you'll end up losing all of your save games etc. (Note not all game save data will transfer onto a memory unit)

Took it back and got a new one yesterday!
