Anyone use the above, how does it work and how good is it

Hello

I use it (as does anyone with a little green man symbol to the left under their name. I like it, and use it extensively to communicate with people at work as well as friends and the occasional psycho-stalker random person. The latest version also lets you stalk people on Yahoo Messenger.

Edit: It works by telling a central server you are 'online' and then your friends or random people (if you let them) can send you instant messages.

for communicating with friends / family skype.com is much better, IMO, not sure what the network of weirdos / nutters is like on Skype, though....

It drives me potty. People who use it all the time are really quick, I switch on, and go really slow
Then you sometimes get about 3 folks coming through at once. I can't keep up with it
So I don't bother

I use it, it is handy for keeping in touch with friends especially if they live far away

Mines on permanent stealth/do not disturb. Nothing worse than getting somebody popping up trying to chat with you whilst in mid-flow with something.

It appears to have stopped working on my PC anyway ...peace, at last
