Default Any restrictions with ms office student edition ?

Need to add ms office to a newlap top and see the student version is the most cost effective. What are the rules to qualify to use this software and are there any limitations to the software ? My kids are both in secondary education so i assume we qualify.

Also, when is the next version due ? and is it still available as a free Beta test and would this be worth persuing ?

Any advice will be appreciated

Graham

They do, you don't. In theory. Vendors should ask for some form of student ID on purchase, but that's usually it I believe.

Sometimes through work is the best way.

My wife works in the NHS and was able to get MS Office 2003 Pro to use at home direct from MS for £17 ! - Much cheaper the student edition

Might be worth checking with your IT staff (if you work somewhere that is reasonably big)

Cheers

Uni where I work we have a campus aggrement with Microsoft, offfice 2003, windows XP Pro, symantec Anti-virus etc can all be installed on your home machine at no cost, can only be one machine and supposed to be for work related purposes. Not just Uni's do this, it depends if your company has an agreement with Microsoft though

If your company doesnt do this as above they could buy cheaper student versions
