Default Returning a Mobile Phone?

Does anyone know if you can take back a mobile phone that you bought from, say, a Vodafone shop, if you get it home, try it out and find that you don’t get on with it? I just upgraded from a Motorola V3 to a Samsung D900. Whilst the Samsung is a nice-looking phone, with a good camera, the menus and general usability don’t work for me, so I want to swap it for a V3i. Trouble is, the Samsung isn’t actually broken (and no, I don’t want to break it before I take it back …).

I only upgraded yesterday, so it’s not like I’ve kept it for weeks. I know that Voda sell refurbished phones on their website, which I assume are returned phones, so I guess they do do this.

Anyone had any experience of trying to take a phone back bcause they didn’t like it?

Cheers!

sorted then mate, you have a 14 day cooling off period to return the contract and ask for it to be cancelled, was brought in to stop door to door salesmen forcing sales on people, and give a chance for the docs to be read properly without someone hovering over you and then decidide to keep or cancel
