XP is a bit "Fisher Price"
Norton annoys me with it's auto config nonsense and PITA setup.
Quite like Zone Alarm but have been getting increasing numbrt of True Vector errors lately so looking at alternatives.

Suggestions?

Nod32 along side XP sp2 firewall is all you should need, unless you've got the fbi monitoring you

Do you have a USB adsl modem or an ethernet modem set to pass all traffic through to your machine?

PC -> LAN -> Router -> Cable

The router has a firewall but I also like having it on PC and seeing just what stuff is getting through. I also want the program control the ZA gives to allow occasional but not permanent access.

Kaspersky AV which is comparable to NOD32 do a security suite. Don't know if it gets excellent reviews like its AV product though.

A new personal version of Nod32 should be out soon, which will include a firewall.

Kerio used to be good, until they were bought out.

Currently got Zone Alarm monitoring whats going out, not too worried about incoming (Cisco box).
