got me a new notebook
Well, I tried so hard to get a macbook, but in the end the poor build quality and lack of pcmcia discounted them 
For a while I was really excited to get my first mac too
So, I've got a Vaio SZ2XP, core duo 2.0ghz (T2500), 1gig ram, 13.3" super bright widescreen, 100gig drive, DVD-+R dual layer, wifi, bluetooth, etc for £1300 inc vat.
apart from the fact it took 2 hours to deinstall all the crap pre installed, it's great and quick!
