disabling integrated graphics
I have a Dell Dimension 3100 (3 months old ) with an Intel integrated Graphics Media Accelerator Video card , Which I'm lead to believe is part of the mother board . If I were to buy a better Graphics card to slot in the PC is it easy to disable the integrated one .
Many thanks for any help

yep should be dooable in BIOS, when the system boots, you usually press F2 or the del key to get into into it. May be different on Dell's but it should tell you the button to press to get into BIOS. Then its a case of disabling on board graphics in the options
edited to add just checked and its F2 or del for a dimention dell machine

Plug the new card in and switch on and enter bios, disable it, select save and exit, I would then switch it off and on to be on the safe side. Windows should then detect the new card and ask for the driver cd
