Talking Orange SPV M600/iMate JAMin or P990

Having waited nearly a year for the P990 and it is nearly here - do I give up on Sony Ericsson and go down the HTC route?

The HTC Prophet/M600/JAMin is Win 5.0, wifi, BT, Edge etc. But not 3G (Orange are pushing Edge having wasted £5bn on a 3G license!!!).

The 990 is not here yet but does have 3G instead of Edge and runs a simplified UI with Symbian 9.x. It has a smaller screen though although it does look funky and is a direct replacement for my 910i. My current 910i also makes a pretty poor fist of synchronising with my Vaio and cannot connect to it with BT at all. So much for keeping it in the family!

The M600 looks very tempting and flexible. The 990 looks funky and I would be staying in the 'family' but I am not sure if the new features make up for the smaller screen and having to use the thumboard which I hate.

Anyone got an M600 or equivalent - any good? Is is durable and does it deliver what is promised - true PDA capability in a phone?

Any comments from the experts would be appreciated.
