wide screen monitors...!!!!

Default wide screen monitors...!!!!
I am looking to replace my 17"tft with a 19"tft wide screen monitor. It has a faster refresh rate and would be good for watching movies. Does any one know if you can still play games on it? as in wide mode?? also how would you change the ratio on the computer?? cheers nick

With the games I'm playing you are offered widescreen resolutions. I think the games look to see what resolutions the monitor supports and offer those.

IMHO - better off with 20" 4:3 aspect screen

Ebuyer are doing a belinia 19" widescreen 5ms for £150 ATM - 700:1 contrast ratio

I bought a Dell 2005FPW from Aria a while back and it's great, I play Counterstrike Source a fair amount and the refresh is not noticable on that.
