Creating an AVI
I need to create an avi at a sensible resolution for the web from a DVD and wondered if anyone could recommend a simple one stop shop solution.
I've tried virtualdub and SUPER, without much success. Anyone recommend anything that doesn't require me to learn the app inside out as I need to do it quickly.
I also only need certain parts of the DVD.

Try autoGK - it basically puts a nice interface onto all the separate apps (like virtualdub).
So it allows you to pick the file, the destination size and then calls all the other apps (I think it comes with them all) in the right order to create the end result avi - I've found it very easy to use with excellent results - free too !
Can't remember where I had it from, but I'm sure you'll soon google it.....
