PC Synchronisation
A question for you all.. hopefully someone can help.
I have 2 standalone PCs in separate buildings with no data connection between them (wired or otherwise), but I do have a USB hard disk which I can swap between the PCs as necessary.
Now for the question.. how do I set it up so that any files/e-mails/settings etc. are sychronised between the PCs? I'm quite happy to hear any suggestions of third-party software.
ie. anything that is saved on one is automatically copied onto the other the next time I log on, and vice versa.
I know this probably seems like a strange request, but i'm hoping someone else here has had to solve a similar problem.
Thanks.

save all docs and the like to the usb drive
then
assuming xp pro, can you right click my computer, manage, select local users and groups, then users, select the user profile and double click on it and click the profile tab on the top right of the window and change the profile path to the usb drive
you may have to assign the same drive letter everytime it connects in disk management also
pc would need the drive plugged in BEFORE you logged on to each machine
ive never tried this so ill take all the credit if it works and deny all knowledge if it doesnt
thats one option off the top of my head there may be better though

Use a large external drive and a thing called Synctoy [free off the t'internet]
You set up the folders you want syncronising, run each time you fire up your ext hard drive and voila syncro'd info.
I use it to syncro parts of our server to my hard drive and work on the train.
Make sure you cache you e-mails to a particular folder.
