iMac-Virtual PC for Mac-Garmin sat nav c310 ???
I have an iMac G4 with Virtual PC for Mac loaded (last time I used Windows Microsoft was y-e-a-r-s ago , I have forgotten what little I knew ). I can use IE on this to download the Garmin updates for the c310 but cannot get the computer to talk to the Garmin.
Garmin CD is loaded, USB link cable is connected but I keep getting a window that tells me nothing is connected, so Garmin and iMac / Virtual PC are not communicating.
What do i need to find in order to get a link, where do I look in Windows (XP version ) to find it and enable?
Thanks
Brian

OK, I've had a quick search and found these two links, worth a read:
http://www.cycoactive.com/gps/gps_vpc.html
and
http://www.gpsinformation.org/joe/mac2garminsetup.html
From the sound of it, the USB stuff in VPC doesn't work too well, if at all, so you might need a USB to Serial adaptor, if of course the garmin unit supports serial connections.

here's another link to look at:
