I need a way to create a partition in unallocated space, or even find the unallocated space on a disk..so I can create a drive on the fly in a script.

At the moment im at a loss..

I can bodge it by finding the CDRom Drive (usually the last drive) convert the letter to ASCII code, add one to it, then set it back to a character CHR(x) which would increase the cd-rom drive letter by one IE from D: to E:

I can then use diskpart and a script

DiskPart
Select Disk 0
create partition primary
Assign

But you know when you'd rather it was ellegant?
