Belkin routers have suffered from dropping the internet signal for a while, its a manufacturing problem Belkin are aware of and they made that info publicly available. Not sure if they have sorted by now. The only way to cure it was to switch the router off and back on again.

Yes Belkin routers aint that good to be honest, echo above comments about linksys i've configured a few for people and haven't heard back since....always a good sign, got one as a backup router too and was easy as pie to set up. My draytek was a great piece of kit also, to be honest most other makes (including netgear) would be a better bet than belkin

Belkin, linksys, netgear, D-link are all fine, the problem is usually the user who knows F'all and decides to fiddle with the settings in an attempt to squeeze an extra 2 bps out of it.

These are all quite cheap devices compared to some of the routers on the market, so I'm beginning to wonder if this is a case of "you get what you pay for"...

Draytek is indeed the next one on the list. Will have to wait until after my summer holiday though. Saving all my pennies for the trip at the moment
