Tablet PC...worth it over a "normal" lap top?
havent had a laptop in years but now need one to run presentations on....got to wondeing if going tablet is the way forward?
i my mind i can imagine sitting with clients and using it to take infomation and presnt the odd bit off detail to them which i would never do with a laptop as it looks to geeky......but is that the reality?
could i tablet interact with my existing software or can i only "frestyle" on specific apps?
they look cool on 24 but i just wonder if its REALLY as cool as it looks!

I use a Toshiba Portege M200 Tablet laptop at work and to be fair hardly ever use the tablet bit.
I originally thought it might be quite good for taking notes etc but it makes a scratching noise when you write which in a small meeting room sounds like rats trying to escape

My Snr Manager gave a presentation which he had drawn up on his tablet.
The slides were all his "handwriting" (ie looked like he'd drawn everything with a pencil) but it added the nice effect that the presentation had been straight of the top of his head.
Think Tablets are great, hope my work gives me one

senior managers using thinkpad X41 Tablet here. got about 8 in use. they love it as they can just write notes, etc. i also eval the samsung UMPC Q1 and will also eval the Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook Tablet. reasons for the eval is i am looking for something more lightweight.
