Blocking IM's in AOL

is this using AOL or AIM ?
if aol if there name is on your buddylist when their online just right click on their name and select block instant messages.
If their name isnt on your buddy list click on the Everyone tab at the top of your buddy list. Click on buddy list settings then go down to all buddy list settings.
Select the Privacy & security tab
Here you can select Block all, which will stop anyone sending you an IM
or block only THESE, here you can enter the names of just the people you want to block.
You can also select allow only these users only also where you can add the names of people you want to be able to message you.
