They are ace, plus if the rumours are true you don't need two jobs to own a 360

if you want to try one just ask the staff to get the ******* off.

 

If you saw one running on an HDTV then you wouldnt need convincing

 

What are they like on normal widescreen? Will it do?

 

Plenty good enough I spent £1200 on my 32 inch widescreen 5 years ago and im damned if im getting a new tv to this bugger blows up. xbox 360 and xbox live cant beat it

 

Cheers king. one more question mate. In the premium pack, does it come with everything you need to play games online? Do I just plug it in my phoneline with broadband?

 

My opinion too. I currently have a 42" Plasma that cost just over £2k two years ago, certainly not paying silly money if i don't have to for a new telly.
Plus if i were to sell the plasma i'd get **** all.

To get the full blown live experience you will need to get the gold subscription. Premium pack comes with silver & a 30day gold trial.

 

If you like PC gaming, you're love the 360 - basically the performance of a midrange PC for 30% of the cost. Games are bloody expensive, but buy online and you'll save a lot.

Oblivion, Condemned, COD2 etc... all look fantastic, and play like the PC versions (bar the different controller vs PC keyboard - sorry still prefer the PC for FPS).

Anyhow, I bought one for Burnout Revenge - don't regret it.
But, you'll need a HD TV to get the most out of it!

 

I love my 360 no regrets whatsoever even though I paid over the odds to get one for Xmas.

Just wish I had more time to play it!

 

If your pc's got broadband then use the same cable, unplug the pc and put the xbox in it's place, if you want them both online at the same time you'll need a router.

Broadband is a definate "must have" to get the best from it though.

Best games to get? Probably GRAW & PGR3 to go online with.

 

Great machine. I still love mine, even though I'm now on my 3rd!!!

Fair play to MS though. Each time I've had a problem, they've got it sorted out and sent me a new machine within a week.

Personally, I don't like PGR3 much. Burnout revenge is much more fun, and great online

 

Is it worth getting a 360 or waiting for the PS3?

If you can hang on then get a 360 in november when the HD drive is released and the console price should be reduced.

Nope, it was always known as Munchman (I think due to copyright). My original from circa 1983 was always called Munchman. My box looked like the one here (but the one I bought recently is unboxed) :

But back to Xbox360. I picked one up on a whim and am glad i did - sure it's M$ and so on. But it's a ncie bit of kit. The games I have I enjoy; PGR3, Burnout, MotoGP06. Grafix are fantastic for a console, especially on a 32" HDTV

Sure it isn't a PC, and by no stretch would I compare it to my dedicated games PC - but for a console it's great. Also, if you're into your media center thingy, the xbox does fairly well with hooking up to a PC and streaming music off it. I've not been able to do video as I dont have WXPMC installed on a machine as the default OS but still - quailty machine.

Plus, i was skeptical at first about the wireless controllers - but DAMN is they arent f-ing fun to use
