Not to mention M$ have got it right with xbox live, its tried and tested and works great with the downloadable content/demos/videos etc.

Sony have never done dedicated online gaming so its all or nothing for them.

 

I must take my hat off to MS for the whole Live gaming thing and how its all set up - now if they were to give you a glitch free console dashboard that would be great, but thats the curse of having consoles with HDDs, you get games that aren't play-tested to the full. Mine still hangs since the big update - PGR causing the most.

On the downside, if M$ think they'll get me to pay for a gamerpics they're mad.

 

Microsoft don't write glitch free software, they bodge it as they go along with plenty of fixes/patches .

Another kick in the teeth for Sony will be cross platform gaming online, people on Windows Vista playing against people on 360.

 

Name a software company that doesn't do that.

 

I'm off to curry's to have my 1st playtest of a 360.

what a miserable bunch.i know it looks a bit naff. but just doing my bit to support our lads in germany without having to put flags on my car.

If you're in to fps then gears of war, prey and timeshift all look good, due out soon. Also Forza if you're a racing fan.

 

Ghost Recon will be even better when the new downloadable content appears - supposedly thursday next week.

PGR for caning exotic motors around the 'ring.

Burnout's good online too.

 

moto gp 06 is good will be better when they patch it. oblivion is good if you have a spare month it depends what you are in to. but they seem to have all bases covered with at least one good title for all types of game.

 

Would like to see a command an conquer game on the 360

 

I fancy PGR but not sure cos I got bored of Gran Tourismo pretty quick!! Condemned looks cool and I want a good FPS too. What do you reckon?

The beauty of what MS have done on Live is a lot of the titles are featuring playable downloadable demos at release time so you can try before you buy.

It stops you buying turkeys like Test Drive

Edited to say, PGR has since added a new tournament feature (added via an update when playing on xblive) with prizes to be had, keeps the interest just that bit extra
