Default Exchange 2003 Distribution list

I'm having a dullarse moment.

In exchange 2000, I used to be able to create a distribution list that had external email address members in it that everyone could use from the global address book. I can't for the life of me remember where this is done, but I'm pretty sure it can be in 2003.

Help!!

Cheers, Mark

you have to create the entries as contacts in the GAL and then create a new membership group with an email address that contains the contacts, make the membership visible to the GAL and then you can mail all the accounts in the dist list.

from your outlook client, you cannot create a dist list and save it in the GAL, permissions wont allow it, regardless of being a DA or EA

Where is all this done, on the exchange server using the system manager?

Cheers

It's three email addresses, so nothing extensive.

Create your contacts in AD Users & Computers, then they will appear in the GAL
