Corrupt Jpeg Images

Corrupt Jpeg Images
Hi,
I'm in need of a little assistance.
The sister-in-law came back from a holiday in Scotland this weekend chucking a bit of a hissy fit that her new camera had lost all her photos but the SD card said the memory is full. After a bit of dicking about I managed to use a recovery prog to get all her 'missing images' off the SD card. Now the fun really starts - the images show as a thumbnail fine and report that they are the correct size, but they will not open up properly. I mangaged to get photoshop to open a couple of the files but they are totally corrupt (just like a green screen with a couple of coloured dots in it). Paint will not open the images nor will windows phto and fax viewer or picture editor.
Does anyone know as to how I can open these files properly so I can save them to a disk for the sis-in-law?
Any help greatly appreciated in advance.
Rich

which recovery program did you use to attempt to recover the images off the sd card. That may be where the problem has started and now you may be just continuing with crap files.??
just a thought...
send over one of the files and I will see what i can do with it, or get some more info on how, how corrupt it is.

JPEG File headers "should" be (hex) FFD8FFE0 and the footer FFD9 with seemingly random data in the middle (the Meta should be near the beginning)
