Default Help - CompactFlash card has corrupted with valuable images on

I really need somebody's assistance right now. My baby daughter was born last night and I was just transferring the files from the CompactFlash card t the PC when, after 3 images, it stopped doing it.

Now, the 3 images are inaccessible and the CF card says it needs formatting. I haven't re-formatted the CF card or turned off the PC in case anything can still be salvaged.

HELP!

First off. Congratulations!

Secondly: This may help? Not sure if it has some sort of trial before buy.

Can you try a different download method?
I have seen instances where trying to download from the camera has not worked but downloading using a card reader has worked.
Anyone else you know got a camera with CF? Try using their machine/reader

Try one of the free data recovery tools, or failing that ask someone who has a data recovery suite that can access the card at a binary level

Thumbs up

I used a bit of freeware called Zero Assumption - http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/A..._Software.html

Thanks so much for your help - it was very reassuring to know almost immediately that all was not lost.

And now to fix the water softener and the vacuum cleaner which have also gone wrong in the last 72 hours!
