Default i pod help

run the battery right down on my i pod yesterday and now i can't get it to do anything. it won't charge or switch on nothing any idea's?

How long have you had it and which one is it ?

If you run it down completly it will not do or show anything for about half an hour when charging but it is charging.Just leave it for a full charge and it should be ok

it may have crashed, have you tried to reset it?

hold down the middle button and the bottom of the wheel for a few seconds and that should reset it.

I may have got the buttons wrong but someone will correct me.

Also make sure you're charging it from the mains and not over USB/Firewire on your computer, this normally makes a difference for me anyway.

I had 2 die on me the same way in 12 months,if you have tried resseting it/ charging it by mains and still no joy take it back and they should replace it no problems

if you can plug it into a firewire mains charger these are always the best. If that doesnt work plug it into the mains and then press and hold the menu and middle keys so it will reset the ipod if not like kingofturds said pop it into an apple store

sorted by holding down centre button and menu botton for about 10 seconds
