Question French Telephone/Modem connections

I'm taking a laptop to France and I will be wanting to connect to the Internet there. Can I buy a modem connector here for the french phone plugs and does anyone know of a PAYG dial up as well over there.

Cheers

AOHell used to be pretty good for 'roaming' dialup.

Wanadoo might be a shout, of course

Laptops with modems usually get bundled with a load of adapters for use in other countries. If you didn't get one, they are easy to find. Probably have one around here somewhere if you get stuck.

Hello

Most hotels you putthe 'American' style plug into the phone and you can dial from there.

If you are really lucky, then the hotel will have ADSL.

It's not a hotel, it's my dad's house there. Where will I get an adapter from?

Clara are a multinational ISP, they give you alternative numbers to use for other countries.

I'm sure others may be too. Not used Clara so can't comment on their service though
