Mobile Coding

Does anyone know how to get the phone to tell an application the cell id it is in.

I'd like to know if it can be done in wml, failing that in any language.

Any help much appreciated.

I'm not sure if this is any help but a friend of mine has written a .NET for mobiles to do certain things at certain Cell IDs, the details are at http://www.nicecuppa.com under Nicetrack
