Question Windows Media Player problem

Hi,

When viewing video in Windows Media Player, the picture is totally distorted by bright colours. Hard to explain, but basically, it's like I imagine the viewer's on acid or something!

It's impossible to make out the contents of the picture.

I've seen this problem before, but can't remember the solution.

It's WMP9. Will try an upgrade to WMP10, to see if that makes a difference.

I've just re-formatted my PC and re-installed XP.
Thanks in advance!

Ignore this.

Upgrading to WMP10 sorted the problem.

Default

sometimes of the video is part of the xvid codec you can get this prob. Installing divx then xvid codec's can resolve it as well.
