Question External Hard Drive for Backup

After a bit of a panic attack because PC would now power up and I got concerned that I had lost all my data I have decided to buy a external hard drive to back up to regularly. Any suggestions on which one to buy.

Thanks in advance.

Worth keeping an eye on Staples, as they from time to time, offer the Pikaone 300gb for £99.99.
I have a couple of these drives now and they work fine but the best part is that they have Seagate hard disks inside which when priced up on the internet are around the £92 mark (For the hard disk alone) so for the little extra you get the external storage case too...

This is the drive - http://www.pikaone.com/en/products/flycase_silver.htm

Good luck

P.S: How's Pete??

Thanks, I went and ordered a 250 GB Freecom for £94. Recommended by people in work who use them

Nick - sent you an email. Pete is enjoying himself as usual.

I've got a Freecom one - good deal tbh. The only thing is don't leave it on all the time, as it's based on the IBM "Deathstar" hard drive (if you don't know, they've got a chequered past )

Good drive though - mine hasn't missed a beat (yet!)
