Auto start up
On windows xp is there any way to stop the auto loading software that sits as mini icons in the bottom right hand corner?
Whenever I turn on the pc, it has to go through all the load ups for the ipaq, mobile phone, quicktime etc etc.
Is there a way to turn them off so that if you want to use them you can but they dont just auto load on startup?
Thanks
Mark

Some will be in the startup folder, start program files, start up.
Rest will be register,
Start run then type msconfig, startup tab and unselect items dont want to start up automatically.
If not sure what application are needed at start up, do a search on google for each item and do one at a time. Will need to restart at each occasion.
Some of the item you will be able ro right click and properties and choose the dont start option

cool, thanks for that.
A lot of the new ones are for the ipaq, and the mobile phone utilities.
Whilst they are handy, I would prefer the option of turning them on/off as I see fit.
Will give this a go later!
Thanks again.
