Looking to puchase a Base Unit for my sister, nothing to flash, maybe something running at 1.5ghz or less, not too bothered about the condition of the case etc...just as long as it works and is cheap.

anyone know of anywhere other than eBay i can purchase one from ?

that way u kno the parts r gonna last awhile

and check out their bare bones prices, only thing u will then need is a case, they will put it in and post it too u also, if u dont live close too newcastle

Ive been building PC's for years, correct you do know what parts are, so in theory if you buy quality the PC will last a while and should be easy to upgrade, it wont be cheaper that what you can buy from PC world due to economies of scale, but at least you know what you are getting if you build your own.

That said i am after a pre-built machine about 3 years old, nothing flash. I dont want to spend more than £50, to get all the bits from eBay and then build it would cost more than that. Just looking for a good deal really..
