Remote desktop from XP to 2000?
Hi,
I have just downloaded the windows remote desktop client to my 2000 machine (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...dclientdl.mspx) and can connect to any Win XP Pro machines. However what i need to do is connect from my XP Pro machine to 2000. Is this possible? I cant see anywhere on the 2000 machine to turn remote desktop on.
Cheers
Mark

Remote Desktop was only available on xp, Windows 2000 server had terminal services which was a similar thing, but i don;t believe there is any way of doing it on a win2000 pro machine without using 3rd party tools

Go into Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components, Terminal Services and use in remote administration mode.
this allows you two licences for connecting to the Server
