Default usb on laptop?

got a toshiba laptop and one of the usb ports is damaged any idea's of the cost of a repair?

depends on model really; could just be a dry-joint on the board and easily repairable.

Most service centres will want to replace the motherboard rather than just the USB itself, which could be very costly.

Is it insured

As ozzy says, pricey.

Try Teleplan in Colchester - 01206 785000 - they are one of Tosh's UK service centres.

Otherwise you could get a PCMCIA card to provide some extra USB ports.

Can you not just buy a PCMCIA Card with extra USB ports instead? Maybe a cheaper option.
