Default TomTom & Sony P910i

HTF do I get the TomTom Traffic thing to work?

TomTom has found my phone and vice versa, and I've entered all the config details for the connection manually. For some reason the two wont talk to each other!

I've tried speaking to Vodafone but they wont talk to me "as they don't support the device". I've been through the website a few times and I can't seem to shed any light on what's going wrong.

Anyone.......?

Yeah, the traffic updates is what I'm after. Keeps saying it can't set up the wireless connection. The unit itself works fine, it just the bluetooth bit that seems to be a bit tricky.

Bit inept when it comes the 'puters and the like, so it's all a bit of a mystery to me!

the traffic updates are through GPRS not bluetooth. If you are getting directions Ok then the BT is working.

Can you get on the internet using the phone or receive MMS messages?

All my email and t'internet functions on the phone work fine. MMS ok too.

Just to clarify, my TomTom unit is seperate and trying to connect to my phone to get the traffic updates. Unless I'm missing something........

I'm not 100% how it works but I believe the phone uses GPRS to download the latest traffic reports. It will check them against your current position and route to then highlight the problems. Have you signed up with TT and set up the traffic via their website. you have to pay for it I think

that's what I mean. The TT unit has nothing to do with the traffic as far as I know.
