Total ball acher of a connectivity problem
Hi peeps
I dont know if anyone can help here but anyhow...
I have a linksys wired and wireless router at home a DGW6 or similar. It has worked fine for months. However after installing linux on the laptop, I had forgetten the WEP password, so I did a complete reset of the box.
This router connects to an NTL cable modem via cat 5. I have registered the mac address of the laptop with NTL and forged the mac address in the router.
Now I have several pcs connected via the system. All of them work fine as in can access the internet via dotted IP or dns name EXCEPT my Dell Dimension. It can ping anywhere in the lan, but try and do a tracert and it dies at the first hop. The default gateway is also fine, but no matter if I boot it into Ubuntu or XP it will not get past the router. This machine was working fine before I reset the router
This is a wired pc. It can ping the router fine and get into the router. However it cant get any further than that. That rules out a faulty card. The cable also works fine because I tested it with the laptop and its fine
The test machines are:
Dell Dimension IP: 172.16.0.4 / Mask 255.225.0.0 /Default GW 172.16.0.1
Toshiba T9100 IP: 172.16.0.34 / Mask 255.255.0. Default GW 172.16.0.1
Router: 172.16.0.1 / Mask 255.255.0.0

Stu, you need to upview the html editor suite messenger to get into the hard drive segment of the uricon. Once you've done this you will have to extract the fivesime sleth tract, this will lead you into the inner chamber of the rastinal. The rest is plain sailing as long as you are familiar with the unbinex codecs from Windows 95, it's a system based on cybernaught coconuts and is widely used in urinals
Good luck

Can you try to renew the DHCP lease for the firewall. I had immense troubles here with a Cisco PIX and getting a static IP from NTL, the problem is they use a reserved IP in a DHCP pool and my laptop was given the original IP and the router got something completely different from the DHCP pool, think it was that weay round anyhow.
