Hello

I don't like First Person Shooters on consoles and in fact have generally stopped playing games on my Xbox (using it almost continuously for movies etc..) but wow Black is good.

Oozes style, and you can blow everything up!

Criterion are the boys.

Wise move by EA to buy them up. Their middleware seems to kick mucho *** based on Burnout and this.

Levels are fairly long, fairly easy as long as you keep an eye on your health. You have to choose to replenish it...
Checkpoints are sparse and as far as I can see, you can not save the game after a checkpoint and turn off for a while... You can restart at a checkpoint after death but to save you have to finish the level.

Good fun though.

Yep the save between each level is a bit annoying as I wanted to stop playing about 11.30 last night but stayed on past 12 to finish the level. I do like how you can blow a lot of stuff up though. Really get to use the environment as a weapon. Only playing it on normal at the mo. Think you get more/better weapons on the harder settings.

Actually I think the lack of save thing adds to the tension. This game has really impressed me.

Shame my PS2 has just packed up and won't read the disc anymore, DOH!

I would like to be able to save at the checkpoints. sometimes you fancy a 20 min blast but you cant with this game. each lavel takes at least an hour normally.

Hmm, finished it now, only 8 levels, the last one is pretty hard and it is 1hr 40 long....
