Laptop
While using my laptop it keeps closing itself down and it says prepare to stand-by.
Then i have to log on again. Any ideas.
I know my battery is dead can this be the cause...

Could be a sign of overheating. Mine does it now and again, but less so after taking the fan enclosure apart and cleaning out all the fluff/crap. Give that a go, get the dyson in there!! or take it apart and clean CAREFULLY using a can of compressed air. Next time it shuts down, feel underneath and by the fan outlet to see if its unusually hot, if so then theres your problem.
