Norton Ghost or RAID 1
I have just bought a new system, together with 2 x 200gb SATAII drives. Should I:
A) Install the drives in SATA2 configuration and run Norton Ghost 10
B) Install the drives in a RAID 1 array
Any help would be appreciated.

Really depends on how much valuable data you have and how much storage you want ( and read performance ). Raid 1 will mirror the whole disk - so you have 200gb for storage. Gives you some read performance as both disks can be read from "at the same time". If one disk were to die then of course you would just be able to carry on as all the data is on the other disk.
I use ghost 10 and just back up two of my many partitions to another hard disk. I keep my personal data / docs on one partition and have just the O/S ( or as near to this as I can get ) on another. Programs / games etc are then installed on other partitions that I dont back up. If I were to lose a drive - I would still have my data & just reinstall the programs etc I lost.

Thanks Jim. I am looking a mirrored setup, performance is not critical. If this is the case is a RAID 1 array the preferred route?
