Default 7800gt

what are the 7800gt 256mb gpu's like ?? awaiting delivery of one and it will be to replace my old 6600gt. my 6600gt gets 19k on 3d mark 2001 so will i see a huge improvement with my new card ???

In a word, yes. It will be miles faster.

But, bear in mind, 3dMark2001 is more CPU than GPU intensive, so don't expect it to jump too far.

Run benchmarks of 3dMark05 and 06 with your current card, then with the 7800. There will be a HUGE difference!

Kind of a waste of time using 2001 IMO. Try a later version before your new card arrives
