Do you mean a 'hyperlink'?

If so, if you go into MS Word help and type 'Hyperlink' it will tellyou how to do this.

I think he means using a style sheet and then auto compilation of the TOC (table of contents)

You really need to grips with word for this.

I suppose I could use hyperlinks to jump back and forth within the document but what I really want is something to take the last few lines of each paragraph and compile them all together on a seperate page automatically, sort of like the way the automatic table of contents is generated by using the different "styles" to differentiate between the normal text and stuff that I want copied.

The problem is I am writing a test plan which has the procedures for doing each test, some comments diagrams and then a few lines of results. However the plan is about 200 pages and to look up all the results takes time, so what I want is a breif summary (2 pages or so) of all the results that is automatically taken from within the report.
Yes I know I could just have a seperate results sheet but this test is only done once so it makes sense to read the instructions, look at the pictures and then fill in the results below. And I just don't want too

Thanks anyway
Paul.

Yup that's what I want
I think that I'll just try inserting a normal TOC and try to get rid of all the dots and page numbers
