Default Canon 350D SLR

Hi,

Can anyone who owns one of these tell me if it appears as a removable drive when attached to a PC or do you need to install the manufacturers software to interogate the images?

Thanks
Frank

AFAIK you will need Win Xp for it to show up as a removeable drive, if you have Win 98 you will need to install the software that comes with it.

do you know if the you can charge the battery whilst inside the camera or does it need to go in an external charger?

Is the charger intelligent enough to switch off the charge once it's full?

uses an external charger. and it switches off (well the light turns green so i presume it also stops charging) when the battery is full

That's interesting as my IXUS doesn't appear as a drive on my Mac. Unless I'm doing something wrong?? Bit new to this Apple stuff.

That's what mine does, bloody shame as I'd like to use the 1gig card to store other things.
