Default PS2 Online Anyone?

I have had the ps2 since release but have only got into playing online with it in the past 12months.

Any SN online players out there??

I have been mainly playing fifa, star wars, had a go at medal of honour but people are way too good on the war games.

Waiting for the toca race driver to come out at the end of the month too which should be good as thats another online game!!

Do you mean WRC Rally Evolved? I have this and been trying to get online with it but struggling as it keeps asking for central station user name and password which I do not have.

Is there something I need to do etc..?

Cheers

I've got that too, not tried anything online since end of July cos I ain't got a long enough cable.

Have you had anything working online as the user details are stored in the memory card I think.

yes i had this when i wanted to go on. I cant remember where i created it at the min. I will have a look tonight but i think its something to do with your playstation account. I have a feeling i had to use the network disc, create the account on the ps2 site and then use that from there.

The most annoying thing is that you have to enter this each time you log on. Why all games cant have the same log on i dont know, but pro evo soccer is a pain, as it doesnt like my router and wants my pp details from the router, which is a bit worrying!

The online game is good though, you can beat the cpu but not always other players, plus the cpu doesnt apply the same amount of pressure a real component does!

Well

Toca race driver should be the one this month i think!!

that tells you what to do i think!

you do need to go to the central station, which you need the network disc for. Once you enter the details there you can play on pretty much any game i think!

bring on toca race driver!!

Used to have an original PS2 which I bought the network adapter for and got the disk but now I have the slimline PS2 whch has all network connections built in etc but I have no disc.

Should the disk come with a slimeline PS2?

My original disk was sold with original PS2.

The Slimline PS2 does not come with the disc. If you look in the owners manual it tells you to request one if you need one. I guess it was a cost cutting measure not to include one as standard as it has the built in network adaptor. Suppose not everyone wants to use it online so they don't include one in the box.

I have a fat PS2 and the kids a slimline.

There should be a little booklet which says CLAIM YOUR FREE STARTER PACK and REGISTER NOW!! on the front which gives you all the info.

On the back page there is a unique network access code. You could try www.ps2registration.com which looks like it is quicker online way of getting the disc. I'd try online and send off the form just to be safe.

Andy.

Just clicked on the link I made and you should be able to do it all online.

Once I get my cable I'll hopefully be back online.

Fingers crossed it all works still and the disc is OK.
