Ok, i know its been done thousands of times before, but can anyone help me get my xbox (and playstation) working online, i'm with aol and have it connected through a Belkin adsl modem/router, but every time i try to connect it says dns error, as far as i'm aware its all configured properly (i.e. firewall settings, dns automatic, ip settings, etc, etc) correct cables, but i can't for the life of me get it to work.
Please bare in mind i am a complete numpty when it comes to pc's, and therefore any advice should be administered in an idiot proof fashion if possible, or just imagine you're trying to explain it to a three year old!
Please, please, please help me, and don't make me beg anymore than is really necesary.

I'm sure someone will be along soon to help out but my 2p worth is to try with the xbox, cos if you can't get that online you've no chance with the PS2!

modem/router & xbox addresses set to auto
modem/router & xbox - PPPoE & your <username>@aol.com 'n' password

put DNS in manually if you are using ICS

its all in the aol help pages. Keyword: online gaming / xbox live or something like that, it says it all there.

Havent done it ICS/PC way, have kept them seperate
