This afternoon the little one (well, nearly 7) has been playing quite happily with the PS2. Its the slimline black one.

Its 13month old. Has worked fine, only gets used at weekends. This afternoon, it has decided not to read any of the game disc's. All the games are originals (ie, not copies) and the Ps2 hasnt been tampered with (ie, hasnt been chipped)

Any body any ideas .....it just goes to 'Browser - system configuration' or it displays the message ' cant read the disc'..


Anybody experienced this before, and if so, with what outcome.?

try it without the memory card in. I have had problems with non sony cards.

if you do not have any luck, thony the PS2 Care line on 08705 99 88 77 (National Rate) tell them you got it for your kids birthday in March 2005
They will not ask for any Proof of this.
They will issue an exchange unit.
