Its my God sons birthday next week & he will be 8 !

I want to get him a football game for his PS2 & was thinking that Fifa 06 seems to be the one to get right now ! Is this correct ?

IF so I have seen it for £29.97 on Amazon but can I get it any cheaper anywhere else ! I want a new genuine copy !

For adults, Pro Evo soccer 5 is prob the best as it's challenging. However, not for an year old as the game takes some getting used to before you get any good. An 8 year old would've thrown the controller away long before he learnt to score a goal on it.

Don't know if Fifa is easier to start with but I'd not recommend PES5 unless he's gonna work at it.

As a player of footy games on consoles since the very early days I am rather an expert

The best thing to get him would be Fifa 2006, as it has much faster pick up and play attraction. When he gets to 10, then introduce him to Pro Evo 5 as he will start to appreciate tactics and build up play etc etc....

He also gets to choose his favourite team when he boots up Fifa and this changes the look of the front page, and follows him along

If footy games were this good when I was his age I would of been in heaven
