Question Partition setup

I was just wondering how people go about setting up the partitions on their drives?

At the moment I have a C, D & E drive, C for Windows, D for applications and E for data, My Documents etc. I'm gonna do a reinstall soon and was just wondering if the current setup I'm using was he best way of going about it bearing in mind I only want to use a single HDD.

Your comments and opinions pls

personally with one hard drive id spilt it into 2 partitions........but thats just me

with windows and apps on one drive and data on the other

25% for the c drive and 75% for the data, this would depend on the size though

Well I think you're probably right, I'm sure there was a good reason that I put the apps on a seperate partition originally, I just can't remember now what it was

'spose you could create a separate partition for a (fixed size) swapfile - that way it won't get fragmented, nor fragment the rest of the disk.
