using XP Home - limited account.
Hi all,
I have set up a 'limited account' on XP home as per the advice in the SN security thread.
Don't run as 'Administrator' - Most viruses and trojans require admin rights to actually install and execute their payloads. Most users configure their PC with a single account that will normally be given full admin rights. You don't need these rights to perform the normal day-to-day functions on your PC. Set your main login as a normal user account and create a separate admin account.
Problem is I cannot seem to log in to MyEbay or watch an item until the admin account is also logged on.
any help appreciated
RS.

Dunno, I was hoping default settings would allow you to do most things except maybe add / remove programs.
Do most home users run with limited accounts to prevent attacks as suggested??
